This worksheet uses the quantum coin toss game as a mechanism for studying the fundamental concepts of quantum computing, such as elementary quantum gate implementation, quantum superposition, and Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein statistics. Elementary quantum gates and coin states are presented in terms of matrices and a systematic approach to implementing a simple quantum coin toss simulation on a quantum device is provided. The worksheet assumes some exposure to Dirac notation, fundamental postulates of quantum mechanics, the concept of a wave function and measurement, reduced density matrices, and elementary understanding of probability theory.
