As has been explained by BETTEN (2005) in more detail the creep behavior of several materials can be interpreted as a diffusion controlled process. Calculating this process we need the inverse of the error function. The GAUSS error function is implied in the Maple software as a standard function. An approximation of its inverse has been discussed.
