New Features in Maple 16: Rubber-Band Zooming

Next Feature

Quickly zoom into a 2-D plot by selecting the region of interest with your mouse. New in Maple 16, this zooming method uses a "rubber-band" technique, where you can select a region of interest by clicking-and-dragging.

  • You can select the horizontal and vertical range of the plot you would like to display simply by dragging your mouse.
  • An animated view transition ensures that you always keep track of which area of the plot you are zooming into.
  • You can instantly redisplay the plot with its original view, using a new "Reset to default view" option, which has been added to the Plot menu, the context menu, and the 2-D Plot toolbar.
