The CodeTools package contains subpackages and commands to help improve the efficiency and quality of Maple code.
The Profiling subpackage contains methods for performing statement level profiling of Maple code. This means that profiling information can be obtained for each statement.
The Profiling subpackage has a subpackage, Coverage, which analyzes the profiling data to generate information about code coverage. The coverage information indicates which procedures and statements executed and which did not. This is useful when testing code.
The ProgramAnalysis subpackage contains commands to analyze data dependencies in for loops, to verify the correctness of while loops, and to create a static call graph from a procedure.
The CodeTools package also contains commands for working with the subpackages.
Each command in the CodeTools package can be accessed by using either the long form or the short form of the command name in the command calling sequence.
The long form, CodeTools:-command, is always available. The short form can be used after loading the package.
