Animal Cell
Main Concept
The cell is the basic unit of life. Almost all living organisms are composed of one or more cells; with viruses being one common exception. Cells may vary in shape and size, and may contain different cellular components, also known as organelles. This Math App allows you to explore the main components of an animal, or eukaryotic, cell.
Choose a cell component from the drop down box to see more information. To rotate the cell, click the cell and drag it in the direction you would like it to rotate.
