Bouncing Ball
Main Concept
How far a ball will rebound after being dropped depends on its material composition, whether it is hollow or solid, and the height from which it is dropped. Characteristic of each type of ball is a property called the coefficient of restitution, which describes the fraction of the ball's speed before the bounce which is preserved immediately after the bounce.
Change the type of ball to see how some balls bounce better than others.
