Cartesian Equation of a Plane
Main Concept
The Cartesian or scalar equation of a plane in ℝ3 has the form:
A⋅x +B⋅y + C⋅z + D = 0,
where A, B, C, D are real-valued parameters. The vector A,B,C is normal (perpendicular) to the plane.
Change the coefficients of the Cartesian equation of a plane in ℝ3 and see how the plane changes. Select the check box to see the normal vector.
