Chebyshev-Padé Rational Function Approximation
Main Concept
A univariate function f(x) over a finite range a..b may be approximated in the Chebyshev-Padé sense by f(x)≈p(x)/q(x) where p(x) and q(x) are polynomials of degree at most m and n.
Move the sliders to adjust the degrees of p(x) and q(x). Change the example by editing the expression to be approximated (and click Refresh) or edit the endpoints a or b. Change the form of the approximating expression using the drop-down list.
