Parametric Functions
Overview
A relation between x and y can be defined by making x and y functions of a third variable called a parameter, such as t. The functions are called parametric functions.
Examples
x = cost
y = sint
Parametric construction of a circle
x = sinu⋅ ecosu − 2⋅cos4 u − sinu125
y = cosu ⋅ecosu− 2⋅cos4 u − sinu125
Parametric construction of the butterfly curve
Input your own functions and see how the resulting parametric function looks. (Remember the parameter is t)
t =..
