Overview of Visualization in NumericalAnalysis
See Student:-NumericalAnalysis for a general introduction to the NumericalAnalysis subpackage of the Student package.
The visualization commands can be used to teach and study both the visual and computational aspects of numerical analysis.
The visualization commands focus on specific fields of numerical analysis such as: initial value problems, interpolation, numerical linear algebra, quadrature and root finding.
The visualization commands that deal with initial value problems are:
AdamsBashforth
AdamsBashforthMoulton
AdamsMoulton
Euler
InitialValueProblem
RungeKutta
Taylor
There are also interactive commands in the Student:-NumericalAnalysis subpackage that focus on initial value problems. See Interactive Overview for more details.
The visualization command that deals with interpolation is:
Draw
There are also computation commands in the Student:-NumericalAnalysis subpackage that focus on interpolation. See Computation Overview for more details.
The visualization command that deals with numerical linear algebra is:
IterativeApproximate
There are also computation interactive commands in the Student:-NumericalAnalysis subpackage that focus on numerical linear algebra. See Computation Overview and Interactive Overview for more details.
The visualization commands that deal with quadrature are:
AdaptiveQuadrature
Quadrature
The visualization commands that deal with root finding are:
Bisection
FalsePosition
FixedPointIteration
ModifiedNewton
Newton
Roots
Secant
