Calling Sequence
Parameters
Description
Examples
CompositionPlot(f, g, opts)
f
-
algebraic expression in at most one variable
g
opts
(optional) equation(s) of the form option=value where option is one of compositionoptions, compositiontype, function1options and function2options; specify output options
The CompositionPlot(f, g) command displays a plot of the two given functions f and g and their composition g(f) or f(g).
The optional parameters opts specify the desired options for the resulting plot. The available options are:
compositionoptions = list
Specifies the plot options for the composition g(f) or f(g).
compositiontype = g(f) or f(g)
Specifies whether the composition is g(f) or f(g). By default, the composition is g(f).
function1options = list
Specifies the plot options for f.
function2options = list
Specifies the plot options for g.
caption = anything
A caption for the plot.
The default caption is constructed from the parameters and the command options. caption = "" disables the default caption. For more information about specifying a caption, see plot/typesetting.
For information on including additional plot option(s), see the plot help page.
For information on how to change the default colors, see the Student[SetColors] help page.
