Justify the expression for the area of triangle POB in Table 1.4.2.
Solution
The area of triangle POB is half the base times the height. The base is x=cosθ and the height is y=sinθ. Hence, the area of triangle POB is =12cos⁡θ⁢sin⁡θ.
