Warning, inserted missing semicolon at end of statement
Description
Examples
For users of Maple 18 and earlier versions: In 1-D Math input, Maple displays this warning when you press Enter in an input region that is missing a concluding semicolon (;) or colon (:).
You must end a 1-D Maple command or expression to evaluate. Maple commands can extend over several lines but you must enter a semicolon or colon when complete.
To enter multiline inputs without generating a warning, press Shift-Enter. This produces another line in the input region, but no new prompt [>.
The Maple command quit, a help request with ?, a system escape with !, and a comment with # do not require termination with a semicolon or colon.
Important: Worksheets with the missing semicolon warning will not export properly to Maple Input (.mpl) or to Maplet (.maplet) file formats.
