sigpipe Error

Description

•

A sigpipe error occurs when a pipe the Maple client is using to communicate to another process closes unexpectedly.  There are three situations in which this occurs.

If Maple output is redirected to another program and that program quits before Maple, a sigpipe error can occur.

Because the Maple client communicates with the kernel via a socket, if the kernel shuts down unexpectedly (for example, as a result of an error in an external function), a sigpipe error is raised.

If the client shuts down for an unexpected reason (for example, running out of memory), the kernel may generate a sigpipe error message.
