Hiding and Displaying the Subsystem Boundary
You can enter the subsystem view of a subsystem in the model workspace to view and edit the subsystem contents. The typical view of a subsystem includes a border and a dotted boundary line. For example, here is the detailed view of a subsystem:
You can control whether to display the subsystem boundary. Hiding the boundary can be useful to have more workspace for viewing a large subsystem.
To hide subsystem boundaries in the model workspace
From the View menu, clear the check box beside Show Subsystem Boundary.
To display subsystem boundaries
From the View menu, select Show Subsystem Boundary. The subsystem boundary is displayed when you are in the detailed view of a subsystem.
Note: You can add subsystem ports in two ways. One way is to draw a connection from the component port to the subsystem boundary (the dotted line surrounding the subsystem). The other way is to draw a connection from the component port to an empty location in the workspace, and then right-click (Control-click for Mac) and select the location for the subsystem port. For details, see Adding Ports to Subsystems.
