Zooming Into and Out from a Simulation Graph
After you generate a 2-D plot, you can perform the following zoom actions to explore regions of interest.
Zoom in: Magnify your plot by decreasing the plot ranges in fixed steps.
Zoom out: See more of your plot by increasing the plot ranges in fixed steps.
Scale mode zooming: Zoom into or out from a simulation graph while maintaining the scale of your axes.
Rubber-band zooming: Select a specific region to zoom in on; the selected region fills the plotting area.
You can link the plots in a plot window so you can zoom into all the plots simultaneously. From the plotting toolbar, click Link Plots ( ) to link the plots. Now when you zoom or pan on a plot, all the plots are updated accordingly.
Zoom in
Select the graph you want to zoom into.
From the toolbar in the plot window, click Zoom In ( ).
Click on the graph.
Zoom out
Select the graph you want to zoom out.
From the toolbar in the plot window, click Zoom Out ( ).
Scale mode zooming
Click the simulation graph that you want to explore. The mouse pointer switches to a magnifying glass ( ).
Use the mouse wheel to zoom in on (rotate mouse wheel forwards) and out from (rotate mouse wheel backwards) the simulation graph.
Rubber-band zooming
Drag the pointer across the graph region you want to explore, and then release the mouse button. The simulation graph zooms in on the range you defined and adjusts the scale of your axes to fill the plotting area.
Notes:
To undo a zoom action, use the shortcut key combination Ctrl + Z (Command + Z for Macintosh).
To return a graph to the original zoom level, click Reset View ( ) in the plot toolbar.
