Generating a New Plot Window Configuration
Plot windows are collections of simulation graphs that are laid out in a grid in the Simulation Results tab. For more information, see Working with Plot Window Configurations.
After running a simulation, a Probe Plots plot window is automatically created, containing one plot for each probed variable (assuming the model contains probes). If Solver Diagnostics is selected in the Settings tab, a Solver Diagnostics plot window is also created. For information on the Solver Diagnostics setting, see Advanced Simulation Settings.
You can create new plot window configurations.
To create a new plot window configuration:
Select a variable from the Variables palette of the Simulation Results tab. (For details, see Using the Variables Palette in the Simulation Results Tab.)
Click Create New Plot Window ( ). A new plot window is created containing the selected variable. The plot configuration is given a default name. To change the name of the plot configuration or modify its contents, see Working with Plot Window Configurations.
To create a new plot configuration from an existing custom plot configuration:
Select a plot configuration from the Plot Windows palette of the Simulation Results tab.
When the new plot configuration is created, it will only contain the currently visible plots of the selected plot configuration. Because of this, you may want to hide of some plots before creating the new plot configuration. To hide a plot, right-click on its name in the Plot Windows palette and select Toggle Visibility.
Click Duplicate the Plot Window ( ).
Enter the name for the new plot configuration in the Duplicate Plot Window dialog box. Click OK. A new plot configuration is created containing the currently visible plots in the selected plot configuration.
