Panning a 3-D Model

In the perspective view and all of the orthographic views, you can pan your 3-D model to examine a particular side of your model. This type of navigation is analogous to scrolling a flat, two-dimensional page. You can pan a model when an animation is playing or static.

To pan a 3-D model, do one of the following:

•

Click the right mouse button and drag your mouse pointer in the 3-D workspace.

•

Hold the Shift key and drag your mouse pointer in the 3-D workspace.

Alternatively, you can click Select Mode ( ) in the 3-D Toolbar (or Playback Toolbar) and select  to switch to the panning mode. This mode allows you to pan your 3-D model by dragging your mouse without holding the Shift key.
