Important: The stats package has been deprecated. Use the superseding package Statistics instead.
The function statsort of the subpackage stats[transform, ...] sorts the elements in data.
Missing items are placed at the end of the resulting list.
Classes can touch. If they overlap, they must be identical. Items with the same value are not combined. Use stats[transform, tally] to perform that task.
An error message indicating that `stats/islessequal` is not a Boolean function means that `stats/islessequal` was unable to order two quantities. Check that the data is numeric or missing, and that classes do not overlap.
The name of this function is chosen so as not too clash with the sort() function.
