Selecting Objects
You can select one or more objects in the CAD Workspace or in the Tree View. When an object (or multiple objects) are selected, the object is highlighted in the Tree View and in the CAD Workspace. You can control the way the selection is displayed in the workspace in the Settings dialog, including choosing the color used for the selection. For more information, see Setting Display Settings.
To select one object:
Click the name of the object in the Tree View or click the object in the CAD Workspace.
To select more than one object, do any of the following:
Use Ctrl + click to select multiple objects in the Tree View.
Use Shift + left mouse button to select multiple objects in the CAD Workspace.
This mouse shortcut (called Marquee Select) can be customized. See MapleSim CAD Toolbox Keyboard and Mouse Shortcuts.
To select all objects in the CAD Workspace, use Ctrl + A.
Note: If you are viewing the Tree View with Toggle to Display Only Visible Objects ( ) selected, then Ctrl + A selects all visible objects (and not the hidden objects).
