Example A-9.5
Graph x3+2⁢x2−5⁢x−9 on the interval −3,3, and estimate the coordinates of intercepts and extrema graphically.
Solution
Control-drag the given expression.
Context Panel: Plots≻Plot Builder≻2-D plot
Basic Options: x → −3 to 3
2-D Options: grid lines
Alternatively, bring up the Context Menu on the graph itself, and select Probe Info. Select "Nearest point on line" The cursor now traces the curve, and provides the coordinates of the point traced.
