$$ For $z\in \left[0\,3\right]$, draw a cylinder whose axis is parallel to the $z$-axis, and whose cross sections are the shape of the curve defined by the equation $x^2\+y^2\+x\=\sqrt{x^2\+y^2}$. $$ Solution $$ Figure 3.3.14(a) contains the requisite drawing.
