Chapter 8: Applications of Triple Integration
Section 8.1 - Volume
Section 8.2 - Average Value
Section 8.3 - First Moments
Section 8.4 - Moments of Inertia (Second Moments)
Section 8.5 - Changing Variables in a Triple Integral
Introduction
As a parallel to Chapter 6, Chapter 8 applies the triple integral to the calculation of volume under a surface, the average value of a function of three independent variables, first moments (leading to centroids and centers of mass), and second moments (leading to moments of inertia).
