Translational Friction

Smooth friction between sliding bodies

Description

Variables

Connections

Parameters

Modelica Standard Library

Description

The Translational Friction component represents friction in contact between sliding bodies. The friction is a smooth function of the relative velocity of the two flanges. This friction approximates the sum of Stribeck friction, Coulomb friction, and damping.
