Description

The Ideal Intermediate Switch component models a four-terminal, two-pole, electrical switch that is controlled by a Boolean signal. When the signal is false, the switch is in the cross-connection mode and the (isolated) common terminals are connected to the opposing diagonal terminals. Otherwise, the switch is in the parallel-connection mode and the common terminals are connected to the opposing parallel terminals.

To prevent singularities during switching, the opened switch has a (very low) conductance Goff and the closed switch has a (very low) resistance Ron.
