Drawing a Line or Arrow that is Attached to a Shape
If you added a rectangle or oval shape in the Model Workspace, you can draw a line or arrow that is automatically attached to that shape.
Note: The lines and arrows that you draw using the line tool cannot be used to represent physical signals between components.
To draw a line that is attached to a shape
Click the line tool ( ) from the Annotations toolbar.
(Optional) To select a color for the line, click the drawing outline tool ( ) and select a color using a color selection tool.
(Optional) From the line menu ( ), select a style and thickness for the line.
If you want to draw an arrow, select an arrow type from the same menu.
Press and hold the Ctrl key (Windows and Linux) or Command key (Macintosh).
In the Model Workspace, hover your mouse pointer over the rectangle or oval shape to which you want to attach the line. The shape is highlighted in green.
To draw the line, click the shape and move the mouse pointer to another location in the Model Workspace.
Click a point in the Model Workspace to anchor the line.
If you want to draw another line segment, move your mouse pointer to another location in the Model Workspace. You can draw as many line segments as you want.
To complete the line, double-click a point in the Model Workspace or press Enter.
