Updating Models Created in a Previous Release of MapleSim

MapleSim uses the Modelica® Standard Library 4.0.0.

In MapleSim 2024.1, the Modelica Standard Library 3.2.3 was replaced with the Modelica Standard Library 4.0.0. If you created a model in MapleSim 2023.2 or earlier, you can open it in MapleSim 2024.1 or later; the model will be updated automatically to use equivalent components from the Modelica Standard Library 4.0.0.  In addition, in MapleSim 2024.1, the use of global parameters in models has been streamlined.  Any global parameters defined in the parameter editor in the model will be updated automatically to be in a parameter block.

When this happens, you see a message:

The model has been updated to use the latest version of the MapleSim component library.  The updated version is not compatible with previous versions of MapleSim.  If you wish to use this model with an older version of MapleSim, please save the updated model with a new name before continuing.

A detailed description of the changes to the model can be found in the file version_updated.txt, located in the Documents folder of your project attachments.
