Viewing Extended Simulation Results after Simulating a Model
After simulating your model, you can view simulation results for the additional quantities using the Variables palette. Instead of simulating your model a second time, you can select other variables of your model, and compare simulation graphs for the new quantities based on the values in your previous simulation.
To view simulation results for a new quantity in a new plot window:
In the Variables palette of the Simulation Results tab, verify that all model variables are being displayed. Tip: The Variables palette shows all model variables when the the probed variables icon is not highlighted ( ). When the probed variables icon is highlighted ( ), only the variables that either have probes attached to them or have been added to a custom plot are displayed.
Select a variable from the Variables palette.
Click Create New Plot Window ( ). A new plot window is created containing the selected variable.
To add the plot for a new quantity to an existing plot window configuration:
In the Plot Windows palette of the Simulation Results tab, select the plot window to which you want to add a plot.
In the Variables palette, verify that all model variables are being displayed. Tip: The Variables palette shows all model variables when the the probed variables icon is not highlighted ( ). When the probed variables icon is highlighted ( ), only the variables that either have probes attached to them or have been added to a custom plot are displayed.
Press Shift and click the Create New Plot button ( ). The new plot is appended to the end of the current plot window.
Note: You cannot add a new plot to Probe Plots (or other automatically generated plot windows such as Solver Diagnostics). In that case, a new plot window is created containing the plots of the probed variables and the variable you selected.
