By default, sections in the worksheet are delimited with an arrow beside the section heading and a line indicating the section boundary.
You can expand and collapse sections to control the display of content in a worksheet.
You can control the display of sections in a worksheet by hiding section boundaries or by hiding the section arrows entirely.
When you hide the section boundaries, it simply hides the marker along the left side of the section. The section can still be expanded and collapsed normally.
To hide the section boundaries in a worksheet:
From the View > Sections menu, clear the check box beside Show Section Boundaries.
To display the section boundaries in a worksheet:
From the View > Sections menu, select the check box Show Section Boundaries.
When you hide the section arrows, the section is no longer collapsible but stays open.
If you move the pointer over the section boundary, you can see the section boundary.
The help pages use this setting.
To hide the section arrow for one section and keep the section expanded:
Put the cursor in a section.
From the View menu, select Sections > Hide Arrow and Stay Expanded.
To show the arrow again (return to the normal display of the section):
Put the cursor in the section.
From the View menu, clear the check box beside Sections > Hide Arrow and Stay Expanded.
To hide the section arrows and keep the sections expanded for all sections in a worksheet:
From the View menu, select Sections.
Select Hide All Arrows and Stay Expanded.
To show the section arrows again for all sections in the worksheet:
Select Show All Arrows.
