	Introduction
	$$ Many examples in the calculus make use of expressions built from constructs in coordinate (analytic) geometry. The following examples show how to implement some of these in Maple. $$

	$$ Example A-6.1 Obtain the slope, midpoint, length of the line segment, and equation of the line connecting the points $\left(-3\,5\right)$ and $\left(7\,2\right)$. Example A-6.2 Obtain the equation of the perpendicular bisector of the line segment connecting the points $\left(7\,-3\right)$ and $\left(4\,-5\right)$. $$
