The Twilight color palette is a cyclical colormap across a from bluish white through purplish black to redish white. The TwilightShifted palette is a colormap of the same colors to go from bluish black through purplish white to redish black.

Twilight is best used to construct as a cyclic colormap.

This colormap is good when converted to grayscale.

This colormap is also reasonably good for users with CVD.

The Blend command can be used to create a function to color arbitrary ranges. It can take the name of a palette to generate a colormap.

And is particularly good when used to color surfaces. The colorscheme option of plots can take the names of palettes to generate gradients.
