The library components that model magnetic material are records that contain data that define the B-H curves for hard and soft magnetic materials. Hard magnetic materials are used in permanent magnets, soft magnetic materials are used in electromagnets, transformers, etc.

To use a magnetic material, place an instance of it in the diagram, then modify the material parameter of the magnet component that uses it to match the instance name of the material. In a hierarchical model (one with subsystems) a magnetic material instance can be used by a component at the same or lower level.
