Calling Sequence

convert( expr, relation )

Parameters

expr

-

expression

Description

•

The convert(expr, relation) function converts Real ranges and Complex ranges found in expr into relations using =,<=,<,>=,>.

Note: in Maple, by convention, when you say, for instance, z <= 1, it is implicitly assumed that (z) = 0.

Examples

z::ComplexRange1I,1+I

z::ComplexRange−1I,1+I

(1)

convert,relation

−1zz1−1zz1

(2)

zinComplexRangeI,I

zComplexRangeI,I

(3)

convert,RealRange

z0,z,1

(4)

convert,relation

z=0,zz1

(5)

When constructions like z < a or z <= a are around, it is understood that z is real
