The stats[anova] subpackage provides various analysis of variance of statistical data.

Each command in the stats[anova] subpackage can be accessed by using either the long form or the short form of the command name in the command calling sequence.

The purpose of analysis of variance is to test the hypothesis that the sample means of many populations are all equal.
