Opening a Version Controlled Model or Library

When you open a version controlled model or library, you may be prompted to select the original or current version of the model or library. This happens if the .base_msim file (for a model) or the .base_msimlib file (for a library) could not be saved in your previous session because the correct file permissions were not set (that is, the file was marked as read-only). In this context, selecting the original version indicates that you want to open the .base_msim or .base_msimlib file which contains the original model without the saved latest changes. Selecting the current version indicates that you want to open the .base_msim.current or .base_msimlib.current file, which contains the model in its last saved state.

To open an existing model or custom library:

1.

From the File menu, select Open.

2.

Select a valid version controlled MapleSim file. The following is a list of valid version controlled MapleSim file formats.

•

.base_msim (version controlled MapleSim model)

•

.base_msimlib (version controlled MapleSim library)

3.

Click Open.

4.

If the following dialog opens, select either the original version or the current version of the model or library.
