Installing Updates for Package Workbooks
When you open a package workbook from the MapleCloud, you can use the package commands within that workbook.
However, if you want to be able to access those same package commands from within any Maple document, you must install the package workbook.
To install a package workbook:
Open the MapleCloud by clicking the MapleCloud icon on the right side of the toolbar, and then click Packages.
Find the package you want to install from the list, then click install ( ) under the Actions column.
The Installing Package window displays the progress of the download and install. Click Cancel to cancel the download and installation process.
The package is installed into maple/toolbox/PackageName subdirectory of your Maple home directory. You can find the path to your Maple home directory by executing the command kernelopts(homedir).
Click Finish.
Notification of Updates to Installed Package Workbooks
When a package workbook that you have installed is updated, you will receive a notification in the MapleCloud.
To view update notifications:
Sign in the MapleCloud and click the icon in the top right corner of the Maple toolbar.
If there are updates, a red circle, along with the number of updates, will be displayed.
Finding and Installing Updates to Package Workbooks
If there are package workbook updates available:
Click Packages.
From the list of packages, select the updated package workbook (bold font) you want to install. For more information on searching for content on the MapleCloud, see Searching for Content on the MapleCloud.
