Sharing Content on the MapleCloud

You can use the MapleCloud to share a worksheet, a workbook or a worksheet selection with other users. If you share a worksheet selection, it will be added to a new worksheet that contains only the text and objects that you selected. You must be logged in to the MapleCloud to share content.

If you want to share content with certain Maple users only, make sure that a custom group has been created before sharing your content. For more information, see MapleCloud Groups.

Notes:

•

In certain custom groups, group members may not have permissions to share content or view content shared by other group members. Contact your group owner for more details about your permissions.

1.

Log in to the MapleCloud.

2.

Open the worksheet that contains the content you want to share.

3.

If you want to share a worksheet selection, select the text and objects in the worksheet. If you want to share an entire worksheet, you do not need to select any text or objects in the worksheet.

4.

In the MapleCloud menu, click Save to Cloud ( ).

5.

Alternatively, go to File menu and select Save To Cloud.

6.

In the Message field, enter the subject that will be displayed for the entry in the MapleCloud.

7.

From the list box, select the group in which you want to share the content.

Note: If you want to store your content in a location that is not visible to other users, select the private group.

Upload Workbooks and Package Workbooks to the MapleCloud

1.

Open the workbook you want to upload.

2.

From the File menu, select Save to Cloud.

3.

A dialog box will appear where you can enter metadata information and a detailed description so that others can more easily find information about your work.

The metadata fields that you must complete are: Title, Description and Thumbnail. For more information on entering workbook metadata see worksheet, cloud, metadata.

Note regarding package workbooks: You can upload package workbooks to either the packages or private group. When uploading to a private group you must set the Application Type to MaplePackage for users to have the option to install the package from the MapleCloud.

4.

When you are done, click Publish and the workbook, or package workbook, is added to the MapleCloud.

After it is uploaded, remember to save your local copy of your workbook or package workbook again. This ensures that all of the relevant Cloud metadata is saved into your local copy. Note that this is essential if you wish to update your package at some point in the future.
