Self-Documenting Context-Sensitive Operations

When you select an option from the Context Panel to apply to an expression, an arrow connects input and output as the result of the operation and the text describing the operation is displayed above the arrow.

1.

Enter an expression.

2.

From the Context Panel, select an operation from the displayed options. Text describing the operation is displayed above the arrow.

Note: You can right-click (Control-click, Mac) on the context operation and select Copy Command to get access to the Maple command syntax that performs that task.

For example:

1.

Enter the following matrix using the Matrix palette.

2.

From the Context Panel, select Standard Operations > Inverse.

3.

Right-click on the arrow for the context-sensitive operation, and from the menu, select Copy Command.

4.

On a new line, use Ctrl+V (Command+V, Mac) to paste it.
