Overview of the Typesetting Submenu
The Insert > Typesetting submenu contains commands for ease of typing formatted mathematics.
Enter the base of the expression in 2-D math.
From the Insert menu, select Typesetting.
Select one of the following:
Overscript
Underscript
Left Superscript
Left Subscript
Superscript
Subscript
Note this inserts a literal subscript. For details, see Indexed Subscript versus Literal Subscript.
