Apply a User Profile to your current worksheet
Apply a User Profile and set it as your default User Profile
Compatibility
A User Profile is a settings file that you can apply to a worksheet. A User Profile can perform any of the following tasks:
Select the system of Units you want to work in
Apply the numeric formatting you want
Insert Maple commands into the worksheet's Startup Code
You can either apply one of the User Profiles that come with Maple or apply one of your own User Profiles (see Create a User Profile).
When you apply a User Profile, you can optionally set it as your default User Profile (see the following instructions). The default User Profile is applied automatically to any new (blank) worksheet.
User Profile settings are saved in the worksheet. Therefore, the worksheet can be opened by other users (if their Maple versions support User Profiles) even if they do not have a copy of your User Profile.
After a User Profile is applied, you can change any of the settings in the worksheet either by using the appropriate command (see Units Formatting and Numeric Formatting) or by applying another User Profile.
Although User Profile code and Startup code perform similar functions, they differ in the follow respects:
You can set a User Profile as your default User Profile. There is no similar functionality for Startup code.
Maple inserts User Profile code in its own section at the beginning of the Startup code. Therefore, User Profile commands are executed before Startup code commands.
Select Edit > User Profile.
The User Profile dialog box opens. The drop-down list contains the User Profiles that Maple found on your computer and a Custom User Profile option.
Do one of the following:
To apply one of the User Profiles from the list, select it from the drop-down list.
To apply a text file containing User Profile settings, select Custom User Profile..., browse to the file's location, select the file, and then click Open.
Click OK.
Save your worksheet.
(Optional) Click Restart ( ) and then click Execute Worksheet ( ).
If you are asked to verify the restart, click OK. Also, click Yes in the Autoexecute Warning dialog box (if it opens).
Note: It is recommended that you restart and then execute your worksheet every time you apply a User Profile. This helps to identify any execution groups that relied on code from the User Profile that was replaced.
If you have a User Profile that you use very often, you can set it as your default User Profile.
The default User Profile is automatically applied when you open a new (blank) worksheet.
Maple does not apply your default User Profile when you open a worksheet that you had previously saved.
To apply a User Profile and also set is as your default User Profile:
Click Apply And Set As Default.
User profiles were introduced in Maple 2015.
