Overview of Plotting

Maple provides many ways of representing data and mathematical expressions graphically using plots. Explore your solutions in detail, or compare two or more solutions, by using interactive plots and animations.

There are two basic concepts about how Maple plots work that you need to understand before creating or modifying plots. The first is the difference between the two plot types, standard plots and smart plots. The second is how plot attributes, and their modification, are handled for the entire plot and for individual curves or surfaces.
