This model demonstrates the ability of the web handling library to generate a model of an entire web line and analyze the useage of multiple drives to control web tension. The system consists of a unwinding drum, 9 rollers, 2 nipped rollers and 12 web spans. The main drive is connected to the NR2 roller on the right side. It is speed-controlled and determines the general speed of the web. There are two additional auxiliary drives. These two drives are torque-controlled to reduce the web tension own the line, towards the web sink. In this analysis step, the drives are considered as ideal motors. So that the effect of each drive can be observed. There is no effect of controller parameters nor the dynamic behavior of the drives. The user does not have to define any drive or control parameters. If this is required, the speed and motion drivers can be replaced with non-ideal motors and controllers. The given probes show the signals of the drives as well as the reaction of the tension forces in the web spans before the driven rollers.
