Eighteen Wheeler – Multibody, Multi-Domain Physical Model in MapleSim – Maplesoft

Eighteen Wheeler

In this model, the behavior of complex multi-axle vehicles is observed. Using tire models, the effects of slip angle during steering maneuvres are examined. Multibody Sayers vehicle topology is used to investigate the stability of the vehicle through various duty cycles.

The truck has an initial speed of 10m/s. During the first 22s the truck accelerates. The steering maneuvre starts at 27s.
