Windows

  1. I installed Maple V under Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows 2003. The program starts and works fine but it does not accept any input from the keyboard. What is the problem?

  2. I have installed the single user version of Maple 9 on my Windows XP machine. When I try to run the program, I receive the following FLEXlm error message:

    Terminal server remote client not allowed
    Feature: Maple9
    License path: C:\Program Files\Maple 9\license\license.dat
    FLEXlm error: -103,577

    What is the problem?

  3. I am trying to start Maple under Windows 2000 and the following error occurs:

    The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)

    How do I fix this problem?

  4. I have successfully installed Maple on my Windows machine. When I start Maple, I get a window which states that Maple was unable to start. When I click Details, I get a message saying Kernel server failure: could not start server.

    Why is Maple not starting up?

Macintosh

  1. I am using Maple 9.00, 9.01 or 9.02 on my Mac OS 10.3.x machine. Whenever I try to access the help system using ?command at a prompt, the help files are either unresponsive or they come up blank. Also, the options in the menu bar under Help are grayed out. What can I do to get the help pages working properly?

  1. When I try starting Maple on my Red Hat 9.0 machine, I get the following errors:

    /usr/local/maple8/bin.IBM_INTEL_LINUX/mserver: relocation error: usr/local/maple8/bin.IBM_INTEL_LINUX/libmaple.so: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

    What can I do?

UNIX

  1. When I try to start the Maple license server on my Solaris 9 machine, I am getting a FLEXlm error of -16,287 and my debug log contains the following:

    (maplelmg) Vendor daemon can't talk to lmgrd
    (Cannot read data from license server (-16,287:22 "Invalid argument"))
    (lmgrd) Vendor daemon died with status 39

    What is going on?
