This model makes use of a simple contact model, developed as a custom component. See ContactForce.mw (attached) to find out more. The ball is "held" on the beam using three contact points in each direction (see the Latch subsystem) and rolls down the beam due to gravity and the increasing angle of the beam as the ball moves along it. When the ball reaches the end of the beam, the Latch is released and the ball falls to the Ground, modeled using another ContactForce component. Note that when the ball is released, the mass of the ball no longer holds the beam at an angle and the beam snaps back to its equilibrium position.
