Average Power in an AC Circuit – Multibody, Multi-Domain Physical Model in MapleSim – Maplesoft

Average Power in an AC Circuit

This simulation models the operation of a simple RL series circuit and measures the average power across the load elements. A power sensor and a mean value block calculates the effective power delivered by the alternating current source to the circuit.

This is from Exploring Engineering Fundamentals
This is a model designed for teaching basic engineering concepts, and is contained within the AC Power section of Exploring Engineering Fundamentals, a collection of free engineering curriculum content.
