Model Fitting with Experimental Data – Multibody, Multi-Domain Physical Model in MapleSim – Maplesoft

Model Fitting with Experimental Data

Very often, it is difficult or even impossible to produce a mathematical model of an engineering system and it may be more convenient to perform a system identification on experimental data generated from the real system. In this example, we have developed a Model Fitting Template, that allows you to bring in measured input/output data from the system, define the approximate form of the mathematical model (very often this is known, but the actual parameter values are not) and then using Maple optimization tools to produce the best parameters to match the model to the real system.
